the taking of deborah logan (2014)

The taking of Deborah Logan is a 2014 horror movie.
I saw this one in the cinema and it was crazy good and weird.

The movie is shot as a documentary. The first thought I had was that it looks like paranormal activity but it turned out completely different.
It's a thrilling movie with a good flow. It does not get boring and more towards the end of the movie it get's creepier.

The movie is about a student who does research for Alzheimer for her school project. She meets Deborah Logan and her daughter, they agreed to document Deborah's illness.
It soon shows that Deborah is not only affected by the Alzheimer but also something dark a not from this world.

The only negative I have to say about this movie is the way of they shot the movie. because they want to suggest that it's an amateur documentary the movie shakes. You do not notice it so much later on in the movie when it's getting really crazy but at the beginning it's pretty annoying.

I rate the movie a 7.5/10.

Carrie (2013)

Carrie (remake from the movie Carrie (1976)) is a shy girl who does not belong in any group at her highschool. She is bullied and humiliated several times. Her mother is a very religious and that does not help Carrie. While on prom Carrie gets bullied again. This puches Carrie over the edge and releases her telekinetic powers on the students.

This remake of Carrie is nicely done. They added a few modern touches as in cellphones etc. The only thing I didn't like as much is that Choë Grace Moretz plays Carrie. I love her as an actress but she just looks to sweet, even when she (Carrie) terrorizes her classmates.
But overall a very good remake.

I rate this movie a 7.5 / 10.

Annabelle (2014)

Hello!

I went to the cinema to watch Annabelle with some co-workers. And I love that movie!
It's about Annabelle, and Annabelle is a doll what is used by a demon. That demon is after the soul of an innocent, a baby.
The movie has some great sound effects that will make you almost shake you off you chair. Definitely a movie for horror fanatics!

ps: that baby is soooo cute!

Boo (2005)

Hi!

Boo is about some student who get stuck in a haunted old mental hospital.

The movie is predictable and the acting is not the best but it is quite fun to watch. But don't expect a super movie.

I rate this movie a 5 / 10.
